If you need a static site, and can purchase the webspace/domain (together probably $50/year), and wan’t someone to build & design the website for you shoot me an email. My email is my username for yahoo mail.

{by static: we mean a brochure website, with maybe 5-ish pages, without forums or user input}

I’m a graphic design student looking to get some professional websites up and running. The hosting needs to be purchased which I can walk you through, but I wouldn’t charge for the website.

Not charging goes against what everyone in the industry including my professors and role models beleive in, but the fact is I need a portfolio built before I can truely get paid well.

If you are serious about this then I would recommend putting out a few $$ to get it done right. Are you looking for an interactive site (forms, reservations, requests) or a simple static site? Need e-mail for the domain (ie: you@yourdomain.com)?
Godaddy is good for most things so long as it isn’t to complex. I would recommend that you also look into getting some developer to assist. There are many that will do it for you and not cost an arm and a leg.
