How long does dental lab keep impressions?
I have impressions made to replace my front teeth. how long would the lab keep this impression ? I may need it to have the crowns re-done.
Replaced them with crowns, that is.
No no .. i’m asking how long they keep dental impressions in their possession before destroying them?

It takes about three weeks for the lab to recieve, produce, and deliver the finished product.
Once the impressions are used to make the models, they are, many times, no longer any good as they tear in critical areas. They will be returned to the dentist and then destroyed. I would say though, that even if the impressions weren’t distorted when the models are removed from them, that the impressions would only be stable for a few weeks.
