Bad Breath Help

Do you need bad breath help? Millions of other people do, too. It is not so unusual of a problem. In fact, nearly everyone suffers from it at some point in their lives. You could get it simply by sleeping with your mouth open, as dry mouth can cause that dreaded “morning breath.”

Sometimes it’s a temporary condition, while at other times it’s a problem that needs medical treatment. Tooth decay, gum disease, acid reflux, and even diabetes can all cause bad breath. However, the most common cause is an overgrowth of odor causing bacteria in the mouth. This is easily fixed by giving your mouth a “spring cleaning” and then keeping it as clean as possible in the future. Here is what to do.

If you need bad breath help for something other than a medical condition, here’s what you need to do:

1. Brush your teeth two to three times a day for at least a full minute each time. Two minutes is ideal, but if you can only manage a minute, that will do. Anything less than that won’t really get your teeth clean.

2. Floss your teeth at least once a day, but preferably twice a day.

3. Use an alcohol-free mouth wash at least once a day, but preferably twice a day.

4. Scrape your tongue using a tongue scraper each time you brush your teeth. A lot of bacteria can gather on your tongue, especially near the back, and this bacteria causes odors to form. Put the scraper as far back on your tongue as you can stand to get all of the “junk.”

Other steps you can take to get bad breath help are to avoid sugar and coffee, as these things cause acid build-up in your stomach that can move up into your throat and cause an unpleasant odor. Of course, smoking is out, as this will give you “smoker’s breath,” which is like kissing an ashtray for anyone you may be romantically involved with. Stay away from garlic and onions if you’re going to be intimately close to other people, as well, and make sure to chew parsley or fennel seeds after a spicy meal.

Finally, you can put a humidifier in your bedroom at night, so the air stays moist while you sleep and you won’t get dry mouth. All of these things can help you have better breath and a better social life.
